Values. 

This is the answer I would give if anyone asks me, ‘What do you plan to leave for your child after you are gone?’

Why ?

That’s because I would always want the best for the piece of my heart. And, there can be nothing more precious than gifting my child some values as inheritance. When values stick to a person’s core, then he never needs to depend on anything else. All the costly gifts, money and property can rest in one corner.

 If I ever get this wonderful and blessed opportunity to have a child, then I would like to share with him/her the below important values :

Value no. 1 #Befriend honesty & hard work :

Make Honesty & Hard work your best friends. Once they are with you, none of your wish can remain unfulfilled. It may happen that your father and me fail at times to provide you all the good things you deserve in life. In those times, these two best friends will take care of you. Yes, they may take a little time, still you will never feel let down by them. The moment you try to discard them from your life, you will realise how everything has come for a toss.

So, my darling, always hold honesty and hard work tightly with your two small hands. And, see all your dreams coming true in beautiful rainbow colours.

Value no. 2 #Be in other’s shoes:

If something hurts you, then it definitely hurts others too.

Never forget this simple truth. We have enough sorrows in this world. Each one of us has gone through difficult times. Pain didn’t think twice before scratching our hearts badly. I agree that you can’t take away all the heartache. That’s fine. But keep in mind to not increase someone’s grief with your words or actions. You can never achieve anything big in life by hurting others. I have learnt it from my own experiences. So, think of all these words at first and then react to the person opposite you.

In this world, it is sometimes tough to remain humane. Still, always try to wear your winsome smile and extend the warmth of humility to whomever possible. Do it for your own good at least, if not for others.

Value no. 3 #Don’t be afraid of failures :

This one can be a little tricky.

You must know that success and failure exist side by side very much like the two sides of a coin. It’s not possible to always win in the very first attempt. People will make fun of you. Still, don’t feel inferior and never be hard on yourself when you fail. Rather clear your mind from all the clutter and find out the reason of your failure. Then try again. You may fail once more. Doesn’t matter. Have patience and keep on trying. You will cherish your accomplishment more than ever once you succeed.

Therefore, don’t cry over spilt milk. There is a reason behind things that happen in this world. Just learn from your past mistakes and focus on the brighter side of life. One day, you will thank the Almighty for all the hardships you have faced.
