Poem is something that doesn’t come naturally to me. The only time I enjoy a poem and it’s rhyme is when it is written by someone else. Thanks to Prakash Hegade and his Incredible Blogger Marathon Challenge, I have finally done something which I always dread doing – creating a rhyme and that too for a popular(and my favourite)nursery poem that every kid (and adults) of all generations simply adore.
Let us have a look at the masterpiece one more time before I go ahead committing it’s murder :
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes, sir, yes, sir,
Three bags full;
One for the master,
And one for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.

The rhyme was probably written keeping in mind the service a sheep gives by sacrificing wool happily to provide warmth to the humanity. Whereas an inhuman like me repays the gratitude in the form of below parody:
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Is that a book in your hand?
No, sir, No, sir,
This is an iPad on a stand;
Looking for a designer,
Who can stitch me a stylish black gown,
Who can give me a makeover,
And transform me into a diva from a clown.
Forgive me for the above horrible piece, but I guess the sheep can also sometimes feel bored of simply shredding wool for others. Everyone needs a change in life and so does the sheep. Where we tend to give so much value to the material world and the physical appearance without giving a damn to take care of our inner self and beauty, then why the sheep should lag behind. Thank God, animals are not blessed with an intellect like humans as in the above rhyme, else the earth would have been filled with only selfish souls who are least bothered about their surroundings.
